Hi, I am Stuart and am currently the Chairman of the Friends of Lancaster Library. The Friends alongside Lancaster library staff and the Fun Palace organisers have been involved in Lancaster Fun Palace for the past six years. In this time it has grown from our first uncertain steps into very popular annual event. I describe it as a celebration of Arts and Science, ranging from mathematically assembled geodesic structures (great fun for children and adults) to belly dancing classes and drumming workshops and everything in between. We always emphasise the ethos as being fun, free and led by the local community, and you get a chance to build Meccano and activate the Meccano robot!
